The Piglet Shad is a smaller member of the "Pig" family. This 10 cm long soft lure is designed primarily for jigging perch but is far from a "regular" soft lure. It has many outstanding and unique features which make it special. The Piglet Shad is cast in rubber of two different densities where the lower half of the lure is salt-impregnated. Salt sinks faster which makes the Piglet Shad sink belly first and has a more stable gait in the water. The paddle tail on the Piglet Shad gives the lure a long "bellyflash". If you want a more stable, flowing thread without "bellyflash", trim the tail at the top and bottom with scissors. It also has a swimming thread created by the articulated section in the tail section.

The Piglet shad is cut on both the back and belly for easy fitting and more effective hooking with an offset hook when fishing Texas and Carolina. Offset hook size 3/0 fits perfectly. Piglet shad can be used with advantage with traditional jig heads, we recommend hook size 4/0 or 5/0. Owner Flashy Swimmer is recommended size 3/0-5/0, Owner Pivot Head Weedless is best suited in size 3/0-4/0. Piglet Shad is manufactured in an environmentally friendly production with minimal ecological footprint. The PVC plastic used is odorless and free from phthalates.
