The Speedmaster XTD is a fantastic long-range carp reel offering remarkable value for money. It features gear ratios and long-cast technology taken directly from more expensive, class-leading SHIMANO models, and its discreet ‘stealth’ finish complements all Tribal TX Carp rods perfectly.
If you’re looking for a great combination of value, quality and performance, you’ll be immediately drawn to the Speedmaster XTD. The Speedmaster combines the same G Free Body silhouette found on many of SHIMANO’s long-distance reels with a discreet stealth look, making it visually stunning.
And when you use it, it won’t let you down either. The Speedmaster not only allows you to cast further, but its new gearbox and technology give you the power needed to easily land the biggest fish. An excellent choice for anglers of all abilities.
It’s really hard to find fault with the Speedmaster. It has inherited many of the best features found on SHIMANO’s leading long-distance reels. Super Slow 5-line oscillation is used on all long-distance reels right up to the Power Aero, as are the G Free Body, Parallel Body, Rigid Cast and a cold-forged aluminium AR-C spool. You also get a set of spool reducers to make spooling more cost-effective.
And when it comes to fishing, the combination of HAGANE Gear and SILENT DRIVE technology optimises winding efficiency, whilst Instant Drag enables super-fast adjustment of drag tension to control the fish with minimal fuss. But perhaps the most impressive feature is that the Speedmaster offers the same reliability as its more expensive counterparts, whilst providing outstanding value for money.
